Everything you need to know about starting your own Website
Writing effective content for your website not only provides your visitors with the information they need in a format they appreciate, but also is a great way to help your website become effective for search engines optimization.
Search engines today pay close attention to the way websites present their content on each page in order to effectively rank those webpages for search results. In order to write effective content for search engines and your websites visitors you will need to pay attention to several different factors that can help you succeed.
Using the Right Keywords
Using the right keywords throughout your webpages can drastically increase your website page rank with search engines. In order to find the right keywords that will effectively target your visitors search results, you need to do research to understand how your potential visitors think and relate to your website content. In doing this you will find out what keywords best describe your websites content and what words potential visitors use to find that content.
An exercise to help you with this would be to put your self into your potential visitor’s shoes. Go to the search engine of your choice and think about what words you would use in order to find content like the content you are putting on your website. Once you have done this and picked out several keywords or phrases to use, you will need to place these keywords throughout the content on the web pages that they relate to. When search engines bots crawl your website they will pick up on these keywords and display your website accordingly. The more times you use those keywords, the higher chance you have for search engines to find your websites content to be relevant to potential visitor’s searches.

Page Titles need to Reflect Your Content
Using keywords too many times on a given webpage can have the opposite effect of what you intended for them to do. If you abuse the use of keywords, search engines will look down upon your website and potentially give it a lower page rank.
To be effective with your website’s content and keywords you will need to place these keywords in areas that hold a higher value with search engines. These areas include the; Meta Tag Description, Browser Page Title, Page Header, Sub Page Titles, and paragraph content. Meta Tag Descriptions and Browser Page Titles hold a higher value to search engines than paragraph content, so make sure they represent your websites content with well placed keywords.
Keep Things Simple
Another easy way to have effective website content is to keep the layout of your sites content simple. A well organized webpage is not only good for attracting and keeping visitors, but it is also good for search engine optimaization. If the pages of your website are consistant with one another and have a simple yet effective layout then search engine bots will have an easier time scanning your website for relevant content and links.
When keeping your website content simple you should also know that the majority of web users scan webpages for relevant information as apose to reading it word for word like a book. Now that you know this you can take advantage of it by making you websites content simplier for your visitors to view. The most popular and easiest techniques include having one idea or topic for each paragraph and underlining your links.
Having one idea per paragraph can be highly effective because like I said before, most web users scan the content of websites instead for reading them word by word. If you include several ideas in one paragraph there is a chance some of those ideas will be skipped over because your visitors are only reading the first sentence or two to find out that that paragraph is about.
Underlining the links in your websites content can be highly effective because it draws the attention of your visitors to important resources. Also if you are an affiliate marketer and trying to make money from your website, the links that you put in your sites content are more than likely links that are making you money. If you keep your links underlined and make them a diffenret color than the rest of your contnet, then they are going to attract more attention and possible make you more money.
